FAQs
Recon Block Setback per Course
The typical Recon Block setback per course is 1 inch (2.5cm). This setback reduces earth pressure allowing for taller Recon gravity walls to be constructed. Did you know that Recon blocks can also be constructed as a vertical wall with zero setback per course?
There are situations where this is desirable. For example, if a staircase is built into a Recon wall, vertical walls allow for a constant stairway width. Also, walls that setback cause corners and radii to require additional fitting blocks for maintaining running bond and adjusting for setback at corners.
A producer must be notified so they can adjust the molds to create Recon blocks that stack vertically. If not, time consuming cutting of shear key is required.
